Yorkshire Documentaries

Yorkshire Documentaries
Educating Yorkshire
Series editors/producers: Grace Reynolds & David Brindley
Executive Producers: Andrew Mackenzie & David Clews
Producers: Vicky Mitchell, Hamish Fergusson, Saskia Smith
Production Manager: Lily Fitzpatrick
Production Company: Two Four Broadcast

This show was first aired on 5th September 2013

The main issues the documentary is trying to put across to the viewer is to show how hard it is to be a teacher coping with all the children in a class full of 30 pupils, but it is also showing what they get out of there job and showing sometimes that its rewarding when a pupil gets a high grade from there class, knowing they have done all they can do to help the pupils in there class achieve the grades they are looking for.

I think the target audience of this show is people aged 12+ because it appeals to people that are experiencing or have already experienced what school life is like.

I don't think that any special techniques were used in the making of this documentary.

What I like about the documentary is that it gives us an idea of what its like teaching and the struggles they have to cope with. Whether it's inside the school or outside, the support workers have to deal with problems whether it's a problem at school or at home.
The thing that I don't like about the documentary is that I think it is giving Yorkshire schools a stereotype and I think that it sometimes lets down what a Yorkshire school is like.
Yorkshire Ripper
Director: Gwyneth Hughes
Producer: Michael Bilton
Film Editor: Rick Aplin
Camera & Electrical Department: Richard Evans
Stars: Peter Sutcliffe: Himself (Yorkshire Ripper)
Janet Suzman (Narrator)

This show first aired on tv on the 5th March 2014

This documentary is about the people who survived the Yorkshire Ripper and their stories of what the character was like and also how they managed to survive the Yorkshire Ripper.

I think the audience for this documentary is 15+ because this documentary may possibly have content on there that should not be viewed by young children.

I don't think there could possibly be and special techniques that were used in the making of this documentary.

David Hockney Documentary
Produced By Randall Wright
Directed By Kate Ogborn & Randall Wright
Company: Fly Film
Stars: David Hockney

This show was first aired 28th November 2014

This documentary is about David Hockney an artist from Bradford who became a successful artist and went on to do his designs in Los Angeles.

I think the audience for this documentary is people ages between 20+ because its not something for young viewers as they might find the documentary boring. This documentary is also for people who enjoy artwork and also appreciate the artwork that David Hockney has produced.

There are no special techniques used in the making of this documentary.
