Task 1A - Unit 59 Different Types of Animation

Cell Animation

  • Classic animation or hand-drawn animation, is the traditional form of animation.
  • Usually consisting of 24 frames per second (fps)
  • Usually hand-drawn on and usually flat tends to be 2D not 3D
Pros & Cons of Cell Animation

Pros 
  • They look Classic 
  • Lots of people still enjoy watching them 
  • Can draw freehand 
Cons
  • Takes up a lot of time 
  • Costs a lot of money 
  • To produce a film it takes a lot of animators

The History of Stop Motion 

  • Stop motion animation has been around almost as long traditional film making
  • Originally stop motion animation involved animation objects which included the animated movement of any "None Drawn" inanimate objects, such as toys and blocks.
  • This was shortly followed by Cell Animation   


Sleeping Beauty 1959

















The plot of Sleeping Beauty is about a princess that gets snubbed by the royal family and she gets a curse cast upon her that can only be broken by a prince, she also has the help of three good fairies.
